Summary
i like the camera. resolution is a little low but it works quite well and has a sweet swivel lens.

Summary
There really is not much to this camera, very low resolution, no viewfinder, and the LCD screen is VERY difficult to follow. I'd recommend it only if you could get it for free, or close to it.

Swivel lens (like Nikon Coolpix 950)

Weaknesses
No Viewfinder, Low Resolution, and very slow LCD screen. No external Memory.

Summary
I bought this Casio QV-30 camera and started using it June 16, 1996 and have thoroughly enjoyed it! I happened to see recently a negative report on a web site, it was undated, and I wondered about their intentions. This camera has served me quite well and I have no complaints about its operation. I have taken many pictures under a variety of conditions in four years and any fault was due to operator error. I was surprised that no evaluations or photos had been offered previously. It would be great to win a state-of-the-art-camera and compare and evaluate photos. Probably move into a much improved picture taking arena too! Thanks.

Strengths
Being able to rotate the lens and take photos at waist level in ambient lighting in church. This allows unobtrusive picture taking, such as my grandson's baptism. Panaramas, such as the Grand Canyon turned out well. Closeups of flowers in our backyard - likewise.

Weaknesses
No builtin flash on this early camera. But, it may not always be needed.

I have the QV-30B model, this camera is a good choice. Very good size and big lcd display. Pic quality is good.

Summary
Over the past month, I have tried a Casio QV-30+, QV-120, QV-200, QV-700, Minolta Dimage Pic, and Fuji DX-7. I will probably put up brief reviews of each one.The QV-30+ is an older camera, and this is reflected in it's maximum resolution of only 320x240. Really, that pretty much says all that needs to be said. 320x240 is just too low of a resolution for most uses. The camera did have some nice features, including pivoting lens, zoom, long battery life, easy to use menus, and relatively nice picture quality. The low resolution outweights all of the good points, though.
