Summary
According to a recent internet article, I read Kodak sold it's digital camera making rights to a foreign company in August 06. This may explain why just after my 1 year warranty my camera broke due to an electronic malfunction, and Kodak doesn't seem to want to do anything but replace my camera with a downgraded model for $200 or hold my camera to fix and sell to someone else. The other option is to pay $48, have no work done, and the broken camera returned. So buyer be beware, this camera does not offer a warranty over 1 year, so you will be SOL if it breaks and you don't want to shell out more money.
Beside this downfall, the camera did take clear pictures for 1 year and was simple to use.
Strengths
Camera was easy to operate. It came with all equipment necessary for downloading.
Weaknesses
Poor electronical parts in the camera with insufficient warranty. If possible, buy a 3 year store warranty. Also, determine if Kodak is still manufacturing camera in USA before you buy one as this will determine Kodak's response to your problems. I used this camera several times a month before it broke.
Similar Products Used
Canon cameras.
Customer Service
Poor. Be prepared to write emails to a generic online site and be placed on hold for indefinite time periods. The company does not give warranties over 1 year for a reason.
They say customer service is #1; however, it's actions and words aren't congruent.
