Summary
The camera's size had the greatest appeal in that it can be held when running on a trail, when going out with friends, or even video taping concerts. Canon's overall lens quality is also great. The menu is really easy to read and great for beginning photographers. The quality of the pictures in low light settings come out really well and pays attention to a lot of detail. The A/V adapter to the television comes out really well. Start up time is negligible and is convenient for taking pictures that need to be taken right away.

Strengths
Portability, color sensitivity, size of screen, picture quality, the Touch Dial feature

Weaknesses
Lack of image stabilization, pictures aren't taken fast enough (there is a little lag after you press the button), that the battery life isn't displayed until after it is going to die within a couple of minutes, sometime the picture playbacks lag, sound during playback

Summary
This is a nice and compact camera. It has some unique features that as a result I chose to buy it. You'll love the 3" screen which makes it really easy to compose. Also I love Canon's unique My Colour feature as well as the ability of applying colour styles after the picture has been taken and saved. Another feature I love is the scrolling of photos. You can scroll the directional pad clockwise or anti-clockwise to go through pictures. Very neat! Overall I love this camera and recommend it highly.

Strengths
3" screen...Canon build product.

Weaknesses
Only few problems I can think of to point out.

You'll not be pleased by this camera if what you're looking for is high resolution LCD. The image appears grainy (especially in low light) at times. Having said that it is still an excellent screen and I love it. Panasonic Lumix FX-9 for example is still the best screen I have ever seen in a camera this size.

Battery life is just average.

I do not miss not having the viewfinder on this camera. But it might be a concern for some people. I find the 3" screen is much easier to compose pictures most of the time for its purpose.

Also it should be pointed out that the back side of camera is entirely glossy black plastic and not wrapped with the usual metal. This is fine though. It's still a very solid built and I give it 5 stars.
